Essentials to win God's love

Chapter-19

On the first day of the first fortnight of the month of Paush of Samvant 1876, Shriji Maharaj was seated in the darbar of Shri Dada Khachar at Gadhada. He was dressed in all white cloths. Paramhams and the devotees from the different places were seated before him.

Shriji Maharaj then addressing the assembly, said: 'One who desires to be fully redeemed and has to become Brahm, shall have to cultivate Atmanishtha, Bhakti, Vairagya and Swadharm all in full and simultaneously. Since each of these, if devoid of other three, can not produce an effective condition for a total release, Each one of the above is correlated to other three. One who has developed Atmanishtha but lacks in devotional fervour for Lord Shri Hari, can not be favoured with the blessing as would thwart the irredeemable forces of Maya. Again, if he has developed only Bhakti, but lacks Atmanishtha, the egocentric soul does not receive the fruits of his devotion. Now, if he has both, devotion and Atmanishtha but is wanting in fullfledge Vairagya, his attachment to mundane objects will nullify the effects of his other two attributes viz devotion ahd Atmanishtha. Further if he has developed Vairagya but is defficient in devotion and Atmanishtha, he can not enjoy the bliss of God. Now, in spite of Swadharm, if the attributes of Bhakti, Atmanishtha and Vairagya are found wanting in one, one can not be transmigrated beyond Bhurlok, Bhavarlok and Swarglok. Now if Atmanishtha, Bhakti and Vairagya are fully developed in one, deficiency in Swadharm retards their fulfilment. Therefore all the four attributs are required to be developed fully and simultaneously since they are each correlated to other three for final emancipation. One who has to develop all these four attributes fully, should serve the lotus feet of such Ekantik Saint. The devotee then with these four attributes is said to have acheived everything and has nothing more to accomplish as an Ekantik Bhakta. Therefore a devotee who is defficient in any of the above redemptive attributes should serve the Ekantik Saint and remove such deficiency.

Thus Ends Vachanamrit : Gadhada First - 19.
